If you ask friends of mine they can tell you a lot of me. But if you ask me, I just want to tell you the most importing events of myself. I grew up in South Tyrol - Italy and did there the elementary, college and high school. After that, I went to Innsbruck-Austria and started there to study geography. After three years in Innsbruck I decided to spend one year in Scotland (University of Aberdeen). I specialised in geoinformatics and as a consequence also my theses targeted this topic. But this time I combined the science of geoinformatics with the "art" of visualisations. Shortly speaking: Scientific Visualisations. After my theses I got the chance to join the new department of Applied Remote Sensing at EURACresearch in Bozen/Bolzano Italy. Since december 2006 I work for this department. I am involved in various projects. In one project we try to develop a image classification algorithm for SPOT images. At the same time I am responsible for the right evolving of our Schoollabs where we try to bring science into local schools.
